option of a second training session.

The costs for the season will be announced closer to the
teams selected
How are the teams selected?
All players are required to attend the trials to be selected
into a team.
Under 12 boys and girls and under 14 and 16 girls will have
two trials which all players will attend.
Under 14, 16 and 18 boys will have three weeks of trials.
Week 1- All players who did not play representative
basketball for Macarthur in 2024
Week 2- Selected players from week 1 along with all
Macarthur representative players from 2024.
Week 3- Selected players from week 2
There will be a head coach which over looks all teams along
with the different coaches for the specific age group. These individuals will
work together to make the selections for the team.
How many players per team will be selected?
A minimum of 10 players will be selected up to a maximum of
12 players.
How many teams per age group will be selected?
For a team to be accepted into the MJL competition, the
association needs to meet the following criteria:
1.
There is 10 players minimum in a team
2.
The team has a head and assistant coach with a
minimum level 1 coaching certification.
3.
There is a referee at the required level and
availability to referee games.
MBA will look at the above criteria along with the number of
individuals who have trialled and their ability and decide whether or not there
will be any team or up to 2 teams that will be selected. This will not be known
until after the second week or trials. This will be communicated with all
players.
What happens if I played for a different association in
MJL in 2024 or before?
You can still trial for Macarthur. However, you will be
classified as a transfer player. MBA can only choose up to 2 transfer players
per team.
If you are selected as a transfer player, a clearance from
your previous association will need to be processed. If any money is owing from
the previous association, this would need to be paid before being cleared.
All players who played at a different association in 2024 or
before, will need to fill out the document below before trialling. Please click
the link below and fill out the information.

** Please note that filling out the above form is not a
clearance and has not enrolled you into the trials for the 2025 representative
season.
What happens if I am trialling for another association?
You are allowed to trial for as many associations as you
wish. However, the coaches will speak to you and your family after the second trial
regarding this if required.
