2024/ 25 Junior Summer Season

Players age groups
Under 12’s mixed- Players born in 2015, 2014
Under 14’s boys- Players born in 2013 and 2012
Under 16’s boys- Players born in 2011 and 2010
Under 18 boys- Players born in 2009 and 2008
Junior Girls- Players born in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014

What is the annual membership/ registration?

All players are required to have a current BNSW/ MBA annual membership/ registration. This payment lasts for 12 months from when it is paid. This is a separate fee to the season fee.
This payment is due when signing up on Basketball Connect along with the season deposit.
If the season deposit and annual membership is not paid online, the individual will not be placed into a team.
How do we get a playing unform?
If you require a playing singlet, you will need to attend an information night at Minto Indoor Sports Centre on the following dates and times:
30/8/2024- Between 5.15 pm to 8.00 pm
6/9/2024- Between 5.15 pm to 8.00 pm
You will be required to pay the $50 uniform fee on the night after you have been sized up for the uniform. MBA will order the singlet and hand it out when it arrives.
MBA will not provide playing shorts, players need to wear plain black shorts with no pockets or short predominantly the same colour as the playing singlet.
Competition Information
Players cannot play in the competition (age group) if they are turning that age in 2025. For example, if the player is born in 2013 and is turning 12 in 2025, they cannot play in the under 12’s they will need to play in the under 14’s no matter when they are turning 12 in 2025.
Duration of competition: 18 weeks plus 2 weeks of finals if the team finishes in the top 4.

Mondays- 14/10/2024
Fridays- 18/10/2025
** games are not played during the school holidays and on public holidays.
What nights are games played on?
Under 12’s mixed and Junior Girls- Monday night
Under 14, 16 & 18 boys on a Friday night
Where are the games played?
All games are played at Minto Indoor Sports Centre- 9 Redfern Road, Minto, 2566
How do I get placed into a team?
MBA will try to keep teams the same as much as possible from the 2024 Winter season. There is no certainty that players will be placed into the same team, or have their requests approved to move teams or play with certain people. MBA will try their best to accommodate all requests.
Can I nominate a team to enter the Summer Competition?
If you have a team that you would like to enter the competition, please click HERE and fill out all information. Teams are required to have a minimum of 8 players to be accepted.
Can I enter the competition as an individual?
· You can join the competition as an induvial, Macarthur Basketball will place you into a team.
· If you would like to be placed into a team or to place into a team with players you know or would like to try and move teams, please click HERE and fill out all information.
MBA will have all the teams completed and online before October 3rd. If you have any issues with the team, you have been placed in, you have until October 9th to email information@macarthurbasketball.com.au with your concerns.
Are there different divisions?
If there are enough teams in an age group, there will be more than one division. Macarthur Basketball will determine these divisions and what team plays in what division.
Season Draw
MBA will have the season draw available online around October 10th. This will be emailed to all players and will be available on the Basketball Connect App. Changes do occur to the draw throughout the season, please be aware of this and to check this throughout the season.
Does Macarthur Basketball provide team an opportunity to train?
It is up to each team to organise and pay (if required) training sessions if they wish to train. Teams are welcome to make enquiries through admin@mintoisc.com.au to see if allocations can be made
Does every team need a coach?
Each team will need to have an adult present at every match. The team may have a coach or manager independent to this person or this person can fill both roles. Coaches
and managers (over the age of 18) also require a valid WWCC. Volunteer WWCC’s can be obtained free of charge through Service NSW. This paperwork will be required to be emailed in before the individual takes responsibility coaching.
How do I sign up for the Junior Summer Season?
All players, new and returning are required to sign up and make the season deposit payment the Basketball Connect. At sign up, if you require a Basketball NSW/MBA individual registration/ membership you will need to pay for this at the same time.

Claiming your profile on Basketball Connect
• To claim your profile each member will need to use the EXACT data that was used on Game Day such as first name, surname, DOB, mobile and email.
If you did not have a Game Day Profile, you just need to complete the form.
• THIS MAYNOT APPLY FOR SOME MEMBERS AS THEIR DATA MAY NOT HAVE BEEN IMPORTED
• An SMS or email will be sent with a code to claim your profile If your details do not match, please contact your Association to collect the exact details.
When selecting the association you need to select Macarthur Basketball
** If you have recently paid the BNSW/MBA membership/ registration and it is asking for you to pay it again, please email information@macarthurbasketball.com.au with the players name and date of birth and when you paid the registration.
